IRS Refund Schedule:

For those of you expecting a federal refund please note the following: Each year the IRS publishes a refund cycle chart that historically has indicated when a taxpayer's refund will be released based on the day it was filed. In past years, this cycle chart has proven to be accurate in most cases. This year, however, the cycle chart is not nearly as accurate a predictor of when the IRS will release a particular refund. Many refunds are released much sooner than would be indicated according to the cycle chart, while many others are released days later than expected. As a result, it may be more useful to think of this year's refund cycle chart as an average date that the refund may be released, rather than the actual date it will be released.
